Putting Music on your MP3 Player
By mariah1397
Putting music on your MP3 Player can seem like a difficult
task, but it’s really quite easy and doesn’t take long at all. When I first got
my MP3 Player, I was clueless on how to get music on it, so I had a music-less
MP3 Player for about 3 weeks! I tried searching Google and Yahoo, but I got
nothing, so I’m creating this Hub to show you how to get music on your MP3
Player.
**Note – this guide is for people who use Windows XP. You can try using these
directions on other computers, but it may or may not work.
- Right click on your desktop. Choose “Create New” then choose “Folder”.
- Right click on your new folder, and choose “Rename”. Name the folder “MUSIC”.
- Open up your internet browser (Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.). Find a site where you can download mp3 files for free – I recommend BeeMP3.
- After you find a site that you like, do a search for the song you want to download. Once you find the song, right click on the “Download” link and click “Save Link/Target/File as”. A box should pop up asking you where you want to save the mp3 file – choose the music folder your created on your desktop.
- After the song has finished downloading, close your internet browser, and plug your MP3 Player into a USB port on your computer.
- Click on the “start” button on your taskbar and choose “My Computer”. Double click “Removable/Portable Drive D:”.
- Now, you will want to minimize that window and open up your music folder. Right click on the song that you downloaded, and select “Move”. A box will pop up. Choose “My Computer” then “Removable/Portable Drive or “D:”. Now, select the “move” button.
- After the file is done moving, you may redo this process to get more songs, or unplug your MP3 Player and listen to your music!
